Oriental Pandit Preliminary Exam Results 2023 : OPP Exam Merit List 2023 :- The Oriental Pandit Preliminary Examination is a competitive examination conducted by the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka. It is the first of a three-part series of examinations that lead to the award of the Oriental Pandit Degree. The examination is designed to test the candidate’s knowledge of the following subjects:

  • Pali
  • Sanskrit
  • Sinhala
  • Tamil
  • Buddhist Literature
  • Hindu Literature
  • Indian History
  • Indian Culture

The examination is held once a year, usually in February. The results are usually released in June.

Eligibility Criteria for Oriental Pandit Preliminary Exam 2023

  • Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka.
  • Language Proficiency: The candidate must have a good command of the Sinhala, Tamil, Pali, and Sanskrit languages.
  • Character: The candidate must be of good character and reputation.

Results Released : Oriental Pandit Preliminary Examination 2023

That’s Right! The Results of the Oriental Pandit Preliminary Examination 2023 were released on July 15, 2023. The pass rate for this year’s examination was 50%. The results can be viewed online at the website of the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka. You can also view the results by sending an SMS to 1919. To do this, you will need to type the exam code (OPR) and your index number and send it to 1919.

  1. Go to the website of the Oriental Studies Society of Sri Lanka.
  2. Click on the “Results” tab.
  3. Select the “Oriental Pandit Preliminary Examination” from the List of Examinations.
  4. Enter your index number and click on the “Submit” button.

SMS

  1. Type the exam code (OPR) and your index number.
  2. Send the message to 1919.

The Exam Code (OPR) can be found on your admission card. Your index number is a unique number that was assigned to you when you applied for the examination.

The Results will be displayed on the Screen. You can also print out a copy of the Results.
