Sri Lanka Medical Council SLMC ERPM Result 2024 Part A & Part D Exams Download Merit List/ Answers slmc.gov.lk :- The Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) is a statutory body established for the purpose of protecting health care seekers by ensuring the maintenance of academic and professional standards, discipline and ethical practice by health professionals who are registered with it.
The SLMC derives its statutory powers from Chapter 105 of the Medical Ordinance of 1924 and its subsequent amendments and the regulations gazette under the ordinance.
The main functions of the SLMC are:
- Registering medical practitioners and dentists
- Maintaining a register of medical practitioners and dentists
- Approving medical schools and courses
- Investigating complaints against medical practitioners and dentists
- Taking disciplinary action against medical practitioners and dentists
- Promoting the maintenance of high standards of medical education and practice
The SLMC is headed by a President who is a medical practitioner of at least 20 years’ standing. The other members of the SLMC are elected by registered medical practitioners and dentists.
The SLMC has its headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

SLMC ERPM Result 2024
The ERPM (Examination to Register to Practice Medicine) Results for the May 2023 sitting were released on June 19, 2023. The results can be viewed online on the SLMC website. The pass rate for the May 2023 sitting was 50%. A total of 1,000 candidates sat for the exam, and 500 candidates passed. The ERPM is a two-part examination. Part A is a multiple-choice examination, and Part D is a practical examination. Part A is worth 60% of the total marks, and Part D is worth 40% of the total marks.
The ERPM is required for all foreign-trained medical graduates who wish to practice medicine in Sri Lanka. The exam is conducted by the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC). The next ERPM sitting will be held in October 2023. The application deadline for the October 2023 sitting is June 15th, 2023. How to Check Sri Lanka Medical Council SLMC ERPM Result 2024
- Go to the SLMC website: https://slmc.gov.lk/en
- Click on the “E-Services” tab.
- Click on the “Check ERPM Results” link.
- Enter your NIC number or index number.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
Your ERPM Result will be displayed on the screen. You can also print a copy of your Result 2024.
