University Grants Commission (UGC) Scholarship Examination Results 2023 : Sri Lanka :- The University Grants Commission (UGC) Scholarship Examination Results 2023 have not yet been released. The UGC is expected to release the results in the second week of August 2023. The UGC Scholarship Examination is a national-level scholarship examination that is conducted twice a year by the UGC. The examination is open to all students who have passed the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination.
The UGC Scholarship Examination consists of two papers: a general paper and a subject paper. The general paper tests the student’s knowledge of general subjects, such as English, Mathematics, and Science. The subject paper tests the student’s knowledge of a specific subject, such as Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. The UGC Scholarship Examination is a highly competitive examination. In 2022, there were over 100,000 candidates who took the examination, and only 10,000 were awarded scholarships. The UGC Scholarships are a valuable opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing higher education. The scholarships provide financial assistance to students, and they also give students the opportunity to attend top universities in India.
Eligibility Criteria for UGC Scholarship Exam 2023
- Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Age: The candidate must not have attained the age of 25 years on the 1st of January of the year of the examination.
- Academic Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination with at least 2 Principal passes and 2 Subsidiary passes.
- Subjects: The candidate must have passed the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology)
- Nationality: The candidate must be a national of Sri Lanka.
- Other Criteria:
- The candidate must have a good academic record.
- The candidate must be a good citizen.
- The candidate must be willing to serve the country.

How to Check UGC Scholarship Exam Results 2023
UGC Scholarship Exam Results 2023 Sri Lanka:
- Online
- You can check your results online at the UGC website, https://www.ugc.ac.lk
- To do this, you will need your index number and date of birth.
- Once you have entered your details, you will be able to view your results.
- SMS
- You can also check your results by SMS.
- To do this, you will need to send an SMS to 1919 with the following format:
- UGC<space>Index Number<space>Date of Birth
- For example, to check the results for an index number 123456789 and date of birth 01/01/1999, you would send the following SMS:
- UGC 123456789 01011999
- You will then receive an SMS with your results.
- Mobile App
- The UGC also has a mobile app that you can use to check your results.
- The app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
- Once you have downloaded the app, you will need to create an account and enter your index number and date of birth.
- Once you have logged in, you will be able to view your results.
